The first ever smartphone was invented in the year 1992, by IBM and it was released for purchase in the year 1994. It was called as the Simon Personal Communicator(SPC). From the past till now, people are facing Storage issues in their smartphones. And they feel like Grrr. WHY this is happening always?!


One fine day I was using my smartphone and I got a notification stating that "Storage running out! Delete unwanted files and free up some space". I was literally frustrated because I don't have any bigger files or videos in my phone. But still my Internal Storage was full. I didn't knew why! And now here I'll show you that how you can free up your Internal Storage without rooting or any other third party applications to get installed to your device. So let's get started. 


First you all might be using WhatsApp. Right! So if you are using WhatsApp for a long time, you need to know this trick. So you can clear some bulky files from WhatsApp.

Follow these steps...


Step 1: Open your device File Manager.


Step 2: Locate your Internal Storage.


Step 3: Now, Go to WhatsApp and Open it.


Step 4: You can see 3 folders in it, such as: Backups, Databases and Media.


Step 5: Open Databases and select them all, Delete them all.


Pro tip*: 

This will not affect your WhatsApp chat or contacts. You can delete that and get few more space. Deleting databases won't be a problem for using WhatsApp.

Bonus trick: 

If you are using Instagram, it will take large space for Cache files. You can clear them too. For doing so, Go to Settings---> About phone---> Storage---> Apps and data---> Instagram---> Cache---> Clear cache.


Quick hacks:

1. Delete Apps that you no longer use

2. Clear cache files in Apps that takes up more memory space

3. Backup your photos and videos to Google drive or Google photos. Google photos supports cloud storage upto 15GB for free per one Google Account that you're signed it

4. Always make sure that your Internal storage isn't completely filled. It might cause smartphones to hang and your device screen keeps on freezing for a long time
