1. Face unlock

Now-a-days most smartphones have this feature. But you might be using the default settings of it. It actually stays on the lock screen even if your face matches. And you have to swipe it again to the home screen. To avoid this, there is an option in Face unlock "Stay on lock screen after unlocking". By default it will be activated. You can turn it off now. So that you can be directed to the home screen instantly after face recognition. Quite time saving, isn't it?


2. Schedule power on/off

We use smartphones alot on daily basis. Upon regular usage your device might get slower. Also your battery performance will be slower. We can turn off/switch off our device for some time overcome this. Did you know that you can actually schedule it too. Yes, you can. Just grab your smartphone and go to settings, search for scheduled power off/on. And turn it on. Now you can schedule your device turn off time. By the time your device will automatically turn off. And also you don't have to worry about your busy messages or work-related calls etc., for the next day, because you can also choose your device turn on time in it. So everything happens as per your schedule and that's it your smartphone is ready for the next day.


3. Swipe it easy

We all must have gone through this situation atleast once. If you had typed in a message with spelling mistake, and you tried to correct it by clicking on the mistaken word,  but couldn't get it right. If that's the case and you are too much frustrated, here's a solution for you. Are you using G-board? You can actually swipe the cursor using the space bar in the keyboard. Drag the space bar in the keyboard and see, it actually works. And you can get your job done.


4. Magic spell

Google Assistant is an AI powered virtual assistant tool and it is available for all mobile phones and other smart devices. You can easily access Google Assistant by saying "Ok Google!" It can make your tasks easy and it's completely free. There's a magic spell to turn on and off your flashlight  by using Google Assistant. All you have to do is to say "Ok Google Lumos" to turn on your device flashlight and "Ok Google NOX" to turn it off. Quite amazing trick Right!


5. Don't know what it is?

If you go out and find something really special or different but you don't know what it is, you can actually use your smartphone to find it out. Here's how. Just shoot a picture of it you found and just go to Google Lens, upload the picture and search for similar images and yes. Now you can find the name of it easily. 😉


Bonus trick:

By pressing the call button on your device dialler you can actually make calls to your last caller.
